Welcome to this Rise & Shine (although it doesn’t have to be the morning) practice! This sequence ignites positive energy that will continue to ripple throughout the day and week☀️ We start with full-body-opening Surya Namaskars interspersed with leg, hip and shoulder openers. Then comes a series of beautiful twists that lead us into a spine-heating-brain-enriching Sirsasana (with variations) making us fully ready for the peak of our practice – Backbends ❣️❣️❣️ And for those who are feeling fragile at the thought of backbends … fear not – these backbends are gorgeously supported by the chair so that we can really relax into the openings, free of strain and fully relishing the gifts that they bring! The rest of the practice is an integrative settling of the power we’ve unleashed, winding down through chair Sarvangasana (and variations) which lead the way to our precious and well deserved Savasana.
