Practicing yoga can help reduce the intensity, duration, and frequency of headaches and migraines. Yoga can also help prevent the triggers that cause headaches, such as stress, tension, and anxiety. In addition to this class, practicing breathing exercises or pranayama can also help alleviate headaches and migraines. The most commonly used pranayama technique for headaches is Alternate Nostril Breathing or Nadi Shodhana, which helps calm the mind and reduce stress and tension. Meditation and mindfulness practices can also be helpful in preventing and managing headaches and migraines. By increasing awareness of our body, mind, and breath, we can learn to recognize the early signs of a headache and take preventive measures! Whether you’re experiencing a headache or migraine or simply feeling overwhelmed, this yoga practice will help you find peace and relaxation.
