Before beginning today’s practice it’s important to remember that there are many different causes of sciatic pain and not all stretches and exercises are appropriate for all conditions. If you’ve had an injury or you’ve been diagnosed with a specific condition, or you’ve had surgery, it’s alway best to check with your doctor first.
If you do choose to try these stretches, the most important thing is to listen to your body. Stretches and exercises that are healing and beneficial for you will feel good. You might feel a little pressure or pulling, but the good kind of sensation. Never push yourself to the point of pain. If you feel pain STOP, ease up, or maybe skip that exercise completely.
