Welcome to this full-body-dynamic-creative practice (with use of the chair in the last 40 min). We start with full energy: Surya Namaskar, lunge openings, spinal twists and arm balancings that prepare us for Sirsasana. This is followed by a deep journey into our feet, knees, hips and spine (through Padmasana Cycle) culminating in uplifting Pincha Mayurasanas, more spinal twists, shoulder openings and essential & delicious penetration of the inner arms. We then move into our final 40 min. of chair work which includes a variety of supported backbends from Viparita Dandasana to an incredible David Meloni inspired experience of Salabhasana. The practice then winds down with Chair Sarvangasana (in which we incorporate the openings of our previous asanas with multiple soothing variations including a heavenly Hanging Urdhva Dhanurasana) followed by Restorative Setu Bandha Sarvangasana and of course our final Savasana.
