Welcome to this absolutely delicious chair practice! A gloriously opening and penetrating exploration of chair backbends and a beautiful opportunity to transform heart space, igniting depth and cellular intelligence. The practice starts with a light warm-up before immediately immersing into headstand and variations, thus heating the spine and stopping all mental chatter. We then move into the backbend sequence, (Viparita Dandasanas, Eka Pada Viparita Dandasanas, Urdhva Dhanurasanas and more). The chair helps sustain the length and depth of the poses and the sternum and upper back will experience the most wonderful refined spaciousness. These experiences are then integrated with gentle twists, hip openers (to release the lumbar), Padmasana (to stretch the abdomen and open the chest), Forward Bends to further rinse and relax the organs before coming to a heavenly chair Halasana completely refreshing and neutralising the body/mind.
