Yin Fusion Yoga Class (70 Min) – Five Parks Yoga

This Yin Fusion yoga class combines postures from the yoga styles of Yin, Hatha and Restorative. The goal of this yoga class is to provide you with an opportunity for deep release in the mind and body. In honor of the current change of seasons, (this class was filmed in October), you are invited to mentally release and re-set, beginning with a seated meditation devoted to the idea of letting go and letting in. The meditation is 4 minutes long, so if you have never experienced a seated meditation, this is a great place to start!

There is plenty of silence throughout the class as you hold postures, so enjoy the sound of the birds and the howler monkeys in the background. The class begins with stretches for your neck, shoulders and chest, and then moves from upper body to lower body postures with lunges, lunge variations, twists and hip stretches. Seated stretches such as seated forehead to knee, straddle splits and butterfly are included in this section of the class. The last part takes place on your back and includes postures like supported fish and bridge, banana pose, reclined twist and happy baby pose. A 7-minute savasana is included at the end of this class.
