Welcome beautiful friends!
If you have blocks, grab them and have them close by, as you may need them in today’s sesh. If you don’t have them, no worries.
I didn’t have blocks for a long time, and I strongly believe that there is a different kind of benefit that comes from accomplishing difficult poses without prop. Props help, they have benefits. But so does independence.
As this is the last week of our practice, we progress into more advanced asanas.
Push your edge, give these new balances a try, shake it off when you fall out of them, and come back and keep trying.
Everything, on your yoga mat and off it, is practice. Perfection doesn’t exist. We fall, we fail, we lose balance, but we must dust ourselves back off and get on with our lives or our yoga class.
Enjoy! Dust off when you lose your balance. Get back in the post. Keep trying your best.
And don’t forget to love yourself. Even those perfectly photoshopped people on Instagram fall on their faces when their arms get tired. It’s part of being human. And being human is beautiful.
Thank you for watching, liking, subscribing, and commenting!
Lots of love,
Dylan
