60 Minute Beginner Yoga – Slow Flow Vinyasa

This is a 60 minute slow flow vinyasa yoga class. Class begins with hip openers to lubricate the lower body, then moves through some warming sun salutes with a few variations. Standing pose sequence of warriors, temple, triangle, lunges and twists, punctuated with restful childs pose, some cat / cow variations, tabletop and east pose (reverse plank). Class concludes with janu sirsasana (head to knee), twist, forward folds and a well deserved guided shavasana – extend your time here for another 5 minutes to complete your 60 min practice. This is an accessible class even if you’re newer to yoga or have been practicing for a while. Plenty of alignment cues to encourage stability, ease and moving with integrity. A slow paced flow that is still satisfyingly challenging. Enjoy!
